I love Apple products...and if I had any extra cash lying around I would be replacing my AppleTV with a shiny new Mini... but what kind of person uses a desktop computer without a numeric keypad? Certainly you have the desk space if you are buying a 20 - 24" iMac, YES? 'Think Different' my arse.

Too Cool for Quick Data Entry
I love Apple products...and if I had any extra cash lying around I would be replacing my AppleTV with a shiny new Mini... but what kind of person uses a desktop computer without a numeric keypad? Certainly you have the desk space if you are buying a 20 - 24" iMac, YES? 'Think Different' my arse.

Yes, I thought this was odd a year ago when the wireless keyboard of the above config came out. I used it for a month or so and if it weren't for the video editing I do I would have been fine. It was actually surprising to me how little I actually use the numeric keypad.
Remember when Apple was one of the first if not the first to ship a comp without a floppy drive and everyone went bananas? This seems the same to me. Give it a little bit and it will seem normal.
These keypad-less keyboards are great for right handed people repetitive stress problems. It allows you to move the mouse to the left, closer to the keyboard and into a more comfortable position. I used one for years.
